When an ACI Fabric is added to ACIOps during the setup process, it update its database with all the controller and decides which controller to use based on its availability. This behaviour is Automatic Controller Selection. When it is set to Automatic, it regularly checks for the availability of the controller and switches the primary controller to use. This is the default bahaviour.

However, you may want to manually control that selection for multiple reasons. To change the selection, you will need to select manual from the radio buttons. When it is changed to manual, ACIOps will not check for the availability of the controller and would continually use the controller that has been selected to be the primary controller.

If it is set to Automatic, if ACIOps detect that the primary controller is unavailable, it will use the next available controller on the Fabric.

Additionally, you may want to change the Credentials that ACIOps uses to interact with the Fabric. you can do that via the UPDATE CREDENTIAL button.

If successful, the new username and password would be used to log into the Cisco APIC.
